Public hearing books
CAVR held eight public hearings in Dili between November 2002 and March 2004 as part of its truth-seeking mandate. Books on three of these hearings (Women, Famine, Massacres) have been published in Tetum, English and Indonesian and a Portuguese edition is in the pipeline.More...

Dalan ba Dame (Road to Peace) Video
Dalan ba Dame is a deeply moving account of Timor 's turbulent passage to peace and freedom from Portuguese times to 1999. It is the people's perspective from the ground in Timor . Most of the film comprises graphic accounts by ordinary Timorese of their suffering and struggles. These are supported by archival footage.

Dalan ba Dame is in Tetum and runs for 144 minutes. It is available in DVD with sub-titles in Portuguese, English and Indonesian. Some VCD copies are also available, in Tetum only.

Hear Our Voices
This small book comprises photos of East Timorese who shared their stories of pain and suffering with CAVR. Beautifully photographed by the Indonesian photographer Poriaman Sitanggang, the collection also includes short statements by these victims about their ideas for the future in Timor-Leste.
